"Seahorses"- 3rd Grade- Watercolors

 Students followed step by step directions to draw a seahorse.  Next they added details such as seaweed, shells, coral and fish.  They traced their pictures with crayon, pressing very hard, to create a wax resist.  On day two, they painted with watercolors.

Op Art Pattern Design- 6th/7th/8th

OP Art -Project Three:
Students created designs, then colored with 3-5 colors.  They used pattern in their color choices, and were encouraged to use shading to help create optical illusions .

                                      Students used measuring tools, pencil, and black Sharpie marker to create these Op Art designs.

"Cows" 2nd Grade Water Colors

Students drew cows, then traced with crayon, making sure to press very hard. (creating a crayon wax resist) Next, they painted the cows with watercolors. 

Cows inspired by the Pop Art of Andy Warhol.

The Cat in the Hat - 2nd Grade Artists

Students celebrated Dr. Seuss by creating "The Cat".

Vases- Oil pastel

Student artists created still life pictures using oil pastels.
